Took me three tries and 10 years for the NARA to locate my ancestor's revolutionary war records of PA and each time I sent the same info. Second time I even sent a copy of the Record's listing from a published book. Got kind of expensive. His son fought in the war of 1812 in VA and received a military bounty which the NARA did have and I also found a muster roll and a pay roll at the Virginia Archives. Gary W.
