I am looking for info about events leading up to and culminating in The Battle of New Orleans from the American vounteer point of view. Have read many books available including various lives of Jackson. I'm seeking to get deeper on the subject to find troop lists, where recruited, etc. Seeking also the names of scholars who specialize in this area. My direct ancestors fought in the battle and I'm working on a family history. Any info will be greatly appreciated. J B Phillips
