On Feb.28, 1813, William Harper finished his second enlistment in the Ohio Militia. He enlisted in Jefferson Co. OH and when discharged, he was 200 miles from home (according to the pay record) and received $16.11. From Steubenville, OH, 200 miles would be a westward arc from Cincinnati to Detroit or an eastward arc from Buffalo to Washington DC. I assume that Detroit is the best guess, but does anyone know where the Ohio Militia was serving February 1813? Karen Ermutlu
