Hello, I am new to the list and would like to know if anyone knows how to find information on the above Regiment. Caleb CLARK was my gg-grandfather, and he was in Capt. McIver's regiment. There were some other Clarks in the same regiment: Allen, maybe Jabez, William and John. My Caleb was drafted at Darlington District, SC and mustered out in Orangeburg, SC. He named his first two sons John and William. We don't know who Caleb's parents were, but we know he is from the Penelope JOHNSON/Christopher CLARK family of Louisa Co., VA. This was discovered from a Clark Family DNA test. I would love to know more about these other CLARKs who were in Capt McIver's regiment. Caleb did not file for a pension - he died in 1857 in Talladega Co., AL; having moved there from Hall Co., GA and then to Cobb Co., GA. He did apply for bounty land and I have that file. Is there some place I could find more information on Capt. McIver's regiment? Thanks, and have a wonderful evening. Best wishes, Sharon Clark Fort Worth, TX clarksha@swbell.net
