I have found 3 ancestors names as serving in the War of 1812 and since I am not familiar with the resource given I would like to know what the American-Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI) is, and if anyone has access to this resource, if they would be kind enough to check this for me. Although all three are shown to be from Delaware and all three indicated to be on Page Number 513 it does indicate a different reference for each ~ i.e. SINEX, Eli - Reference {813} : 35, 49, 88, 240 SINEX, Thomas - Reference {813} : 186 SINEX, William - Reference {813} : 232, 286, 875 Can anyone explain what this is, and where I might find the information. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington)
Anotoinette, Without going into real detail, you are located very close to a source of records that should answer all of your questions. (Well none of us will ever have ALL of our questions answered. Smile) If you take that information to the National Archives in Seattle (Sand Point near the Children's Hospital) they can help you. They are very helpful. If you can go on a week day it's less crowed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Antoinette Waughtel Sorensen" <waughtel@oz.net> To: <WARof1812-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2003 7:54 AM Subject: LOOK UP QUESTION > I have found 3 ancestors names as serving in the War of 1812 and since I am not familiar with the resource given I would like to know what the American-Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI) is, and if anyone has access to this resource, if they would be kind enough to check this for me.
