I am interested in any record of Martin Julius Pond serving in the War of 1812. He was born 27 Dec. 1795 in Connecticut and died 2 Feb. 1864 at Concord, Morgan County, Illinois. He is mentioned on a memorial tablet on the Morgan County Courthouse as serving from Connecticut, but with no further data. He is also mentioned in a son's biography as a soldier in the War of 1812.
