On my gggreatgrandfather William White's pension application of 1859 he stated that he had served in Col. Dobbins Regiment in 1814. As far as I can tell he was a Captain of Rifleman in this particular tour of duty. Lt. Col Hugh Dobbin served; 18 th Reg. New York Lt Col NY Militia 2 nd Reg Lt Col NY Militia 1 St Reg Lt Col NY Militia Swift & Dobbin's Reg. 1814 entered as Lt Col, exited as Col.
