    3. Bernice, Go to your search engine, use Google. Type in; Battle of Little York 1812. A number of good information items will come up including other researchers that had ancestors in the " Battle of York" 27, April 1813 which appears to be one and the same, as The Battle of Little York" There is about a page written on the battle in "The Encyclopedia of the War of 1812" Heidler & Heidler. They also list " The Battle of York" by Carl Benn for further reading. York was the name for Toronto, Ontario at this time. Can't seem to find your Benoni Paule. He must be listed in something I don't have.
