Hello: I'm new to this list. Looking forward to reading and posting messages... In terms of my War of 1812 heritage, I have family that served from PA and NC. I'm hoping that someone might be able to answer a question about my PA ancestor: John Flatt (b. 1786), Muncy, Northumberland (Lycoming) County. Served in the Muncy Light Infantry Militia, 1814-15. Does anyone have any records on him? Did he ever apply for a pension, either from the federal government or the Commonwealth of PA?
