I'm trying to find where Company or Orderly Books for the 21st US Infantry might be housed. Is the National Archives my best bet? Also trying to locate the grave of an ancestor who died at Sackett's Harbor July 1813 (two months after the battle). I've been to the site and checked the cemeteries with no luck. Is there any source listing casualties, cause of death and place of burial? He was a Sgt. Thanks Ed Dunscombe
I heard there is a wonderful military history library in Carlisle. Supposedly it keeps an amazing amount of military related items and records. I don't remember what the full name or city it is located within, but I bet you can find it if your do a general internet search using "carlisle military museum" or some form of that. Good hunting. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "en.ed" <en.ed@4cls.org> To: <WARof1812-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 6:26 AM Subject: Company Books > I'm trying to find where Company or Orderly Books for the 21st US Infantry might be housed.
