    3. Hi List, I am a former list member back near the outset when we lived in Morocco, but have been absent from the list for a few years. I have received the NARA records (such as they are) for my ancestor and am trying to decipher the following abreviations in what appears to be a service roster or record. I.R., D.R. S.A.M.R. are abreviations for which I do not yet know the meaning. He enlisted on 13 Aug 1812 and was mustered out on Long Island 3 Oct 1817 according to family records. The entire record is as follows: I.R. Capt. Hayen's Co., Aug 31, 13, present D.R. Feby 16, I.R. Greenbush, Feby 28 & Apl 30, I.R. Capt. Robt G. Hite's Co. U.S. Arty June 30, I.R. Capt. Jas H. Boyle's Co. Aug 30, D.R. Oct 1 & I.R. Oct 31 & Dec 31/15, Present - I.R. Feby 29/16, On furlough since Feby 15/16 - I.R. Capt. M. Swett's Co. Apl 30, June 30, Aug. 31, Oct 30, Dec. 31/16, Feby28, Apl 30, & June 30/17, Present - I.R. Aug31 & S.A.M.R. Ft. If anyone knows the meaning of the 3 terms or recognizes any of the officers or places listed, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you, Ron Gaddis, Lincoln, NE
