Space is relatively limited in the subject line so I think repeating the obvious wastes space. We know we are writing to and reading from the War of 1812 list. Repeating War of 1812 in the subject line is redundant. Everyone subscribed to this list knows what it is about, that is why I just put the persons name of whom I am searching in the subject line.
