I am new to the researching of the War of 1812 and need some directions. I found information about someone, Jacob Wilson b. 16 June 1774 Chester Co. Pa d. 1843 - was supposedly at Harper's Ferry in 1798 and served at the White House in the War of 1812 under Col. William Washington. I have done some generalized searches in Google but not having any luck. Everything I find on Wm. Washington seem to indicate that he was in the Carolina's during 1812. Is there somewhere I can find information on who served at the White House. Any suggestions appreciated. Janean
