    1. [WAROF1812] Pension Files and Bounty Land Warrants

    3. I am looking for a pension file for William Scott. William was, I believe, born about 1756 in Hampshire, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Esther, were living in Londonderry, Windham, Vermont as late as 1810. William may have died Jan or Feb 1814 in Greenbush, Rensselaer Co., New York. (I'm not certain about this date and place of death). I have received the order forms from the National Archives for copies of Federal Pension or Bounty Land Warrant Applications but I don't think I have enough information to fill out these forms adequately. I know William's widow, Esther, applied for William's pension in June of 1854. In July 1854 some of William's children are named as heirs in a land warrant. The above information was given to me in an email by an individual I have been unable to reconnect with. So...I'm quite sure the pension file exists, it's just that I am unable to properly fill out the NARA order form. Any ideas or suggestions? Genae
