    3. Searching for names of American soldiers, War of 1812, who died at the Detroit garrison between late October and mid-December 1813. An epidemic of some kind ( similar to cholera, but not cholera, as cholera wasn't introduced to the U.S. until 1832 ) swept through the fort, killing 1,300 men in a space of 2 weeks, according to Gen. Cass's report. A mass burial was made, but those bodies were moved in early 1980's to make way for a people mover. Have good reason to believe that my ancestor Pvt. JAMES MARTIN died there. Any help appreciated. Joyce
