    1. Invasion of Plattsburg, NY (ASA BLANCHARD)
    2. Albert Belanger
    3. Bonjour, My wife's ancestor, ASA BLANCHARD, according to his widow's 1855 application for a Bounty Land Warrant, was with Captain Warren Ellis' regiment of Vermont Militia commanded by Col. Parley Davis during the Invasion of Plattsburg, NY. He volunteered on 8 September 1814 and served for 14 (sic) days, being discharged 15 Sept. 1814. I have been trying to find some info on that particular event. Lossing's book skips over the "battle." Does anyone know of an account of that incident?
