Hello, It soundes like you need some kind of proof of birth or birth certificate. But the era you are researching was too new to have such and institution or building to keep such a record. I have had success finding a "record of birth" in a new Colony by looking in the local newspaper of that time period. They may have something like "Born on this day to Andrew and Mrs. Conner a daughter". That would definitely serve as proof of birth if the names and dates match I am sure. I hope this helps.
