According to family lore, my ancestor, CURTIS ALLEN was killed in the war of 1812. He lived in the Cayuga-Seneca area of NY. The only military reference to Curtis Allen I have found is in the MILITARY MINUTES of COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS of the STATE of NY dated 1807. He appears as a Lieut. in a Battalion commanded by Major Joe Burges, listed under Cayuga County. I am looking for any info. regarding Curtis's participation in the war and also where he died.
