    3. The book: 'Kentucky Soldiers of the War of 1812', Adjutant General of Kentucky, 1881: --- Thomas Williamson, Private, Captain James Hall's Company, 2nd Company, Third Regiment, Kentucky Detached Militia. September 1, 1812 - December 25, 1812. Thomas Williamson, Private, Captain William Walker's Company, 7th Company, Third Regiment, Kentucky Detached Militia. September 1, 1812 - December 25, 1812. Thomas Williamson, Private, Captain Thomas Kincheloe's Company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia. June 24, 1813 - July 25, 1813. --- The book: 'Kentucky in the War of 1812, A. C. Quisenberry, 1915: William Russell, Colonel of the 7th US Army, included in his command Captain Kincheloe's Company. The 7th US Infantry saw action in what is now Illinois and Indiana. Nicholas Miller, Lieutenant Colonel of the 3rd Regiment Militia, was at Vincennes in 1812. On the surface, your Thomas Williamson may have been in the Third Regiment of Militia. It is not stated if both names in the 2nd Company and 7th Company referred to the same man. Of course, as the enlistment dates are different for the 7th US and the 3rd Kentucky, he could have been in both.
