    3. You folks really don't bother to read the rules/agreement when you sign up for these email lists? hah! =) I am not a moderator/officer/or employee of Rootsweb, so let me try to give a perspective from an "Average Joe" on dealing with the email lists. 1) By joining the list, you will receive any and all emails that are sent to the list - no matter if you want them or not. KEEP IN MIND: If you send a message to the list, hundreds of folks get a copy of that email. Its that simple. 2) If you feel like you are suffering from an onslaught of emails from the list, I have noticed that when one person sends an email, other users get interested and join in the fun after long periods of silence. 3) If you do not want to receive any more emails from the War of 1812 email listserve, simply create a new email and address it to WARof1812-L@rootsweb.com and type "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the subject. You will hence forth no longer receive emails. Regards, Andy Doss -----Original Message----- From: Kathryn A. 3. To unsubscribe from any rootsweb list one must send an email to the computer like the one you sent to subscribe. The address to subscribe and unsubscribe to this list is: WARof1812-L-request@rootsweb.com When one subscribes to any rootsweb list one receives a copy of each email sent to the list. That is the point of joining to have a discussion of the subject in which you are interested.. ie.. the War of 1812 ... Regards, VA
