    3. Hello Everyone My name is Doyle Stroup. I have been doing family history work for about 25 years. My great-grandmother's father was a man named Enoch Kifer/Kiffer. He was born in 1794 in Westmoreland County, Penna. He lived primarily in Clarion and Forest Counties in Penna. He is buried in West Hickory Township in Forest County. He died in 1865. The epitaph on his tombstone reads "Soldier of the War of 1812". I can find no record of his service in the war. Does anyone have any ideas or leads that I can use to find his service record? Sincerely, Doyle Stroup dbstroup@gmail.com
