    1. Re: [WARof1812] NJ War of 1812 Blackman Moore
    2. My wife has Capt Charles Moore, who wed in 1800 in Philadelphia's Baptist church, and likely served in the Trenton-Hopewell-Ewing ,NJ area..There was no Mercer County then,so Burlington,or Hunterdon Co,NJ. I had James Blackman, who served from Port Republic,Old Gloucester Co,but now Atlantic Co,NJ .Port Republic,Galloway twnsp, was the width of the Mullica,or Little Egg Harbor River, from Burlington Co,NJ. Capt Charles Moore,Charles Hunt, and James Blackman migrated about 1815 to the East Fork of the Little Miami River, near Batavia,Clermont Co,Ohio, where both ran grist and saw mills 4 miles apart. During the Rev War,Port Republic,NJ had a lot of privateering and smuggling.
