Thanks for the article. Good stuff. We can hope it moves forward. I am familiar with Kentucky's efforts. We are hoping to get legislaiton introduced during the next session of the state legislature to create a War of 1812 Bicentennial Commission. We have great hopes that the war in the old northwest territory will not get overwhelmed and in the process forgotten again by francis scott key and the eastern seaboard commemoration efforts. There are still many Kentuckians in unmarked and mass graves across the old northwest. We hope to find and mark the graves of at least some of them and place historical highway markers etc. Every soldier deserves at least a headstone.
