While quoting the orignial message reminds members on the mail list what you are answering, at the same time it is causing long messages that are needless, especially when mime is used. There are individuals on these mail lists that are charged for time while accessing their mail. There is an option on all popular broswers under the options menu that you can click on that when you reply to a message where the original message is not automatically sent back. When I want to quote a message I cut and paste only the parts in question. I also realize that there are many individuals using computers and the internet for the first time and this is just a helpful reminder that such an option exists. This will also save space on the servers at Rootsweb where all of our messages are archived. I enjoy all of list I am currently subscribed to and enjoy all of the decisions pretaining to genealogy.
