    3. Hello, This is my first posting to the Ware LIst. I would be most appreciative if anyone out there could provide me with or direct me to information on the ancestors of Delia, Archibald, or Frank Wear. The scant information I have came from a grandson, David Fooshee, and follows verbatim: "The Wears were Scottish people who moved to Ireland and then to America. Two brothers lived in America prior to 1776. One fought in the American Revolution. Descendent women are eligible to be 'Daughters of the American Revolutionary War'. The other brother moved to Carolina, later to Verona Mississippi, near Tupelo Missippi. Archibald was a physician, his wife Elizabeth. Dr. Archibald Wear's sister was Delia who married Erasmus Darwin Wallace. Dr Frank Wear, Presbyterian Minister of Paris, Texas was later President of Trinity University which was first established in Waxahachie, Texas and now stands in San Antonio, Texas. His son, Frank Wear is (1982) 6th District Federal Judge." Delia was my late husband's ggrandmother and my daughter's gggrandmother. I have a pretty good pedigree on her husband Erasmus WALLACE, but would love to find out more about her family. The history above is a bit confusing and I can't figure if Archibald & Frank were the orginal brothers being disussed or if they came about sometime later. I do have one faded photo of Delia scanned into my system that I will be happy to share. The Children of Erasmus Darwin Wallace and Delia Wear Wallace were: George Wear Wallace m. Flora McMillan Hugh Wallace Fine Wallace (male) Will Wallace Mamie Wallace m. Denis Mahoney Dora Wallace Sallie Wallace Lou Wallace (female) Thanks in advance for any information you might provide.
