    1. [WARE] RE: John Ware from Georgia
    2. In reply to this query: >>>Searching for info on my GGrandfather John Ware (1851-1928) married to Eliza Ann Brown (1850-1929). Not sure where he was born (think in Ga) but lived in Dunwoody, Ga and died in Atlanta, Ga. Eliza was supposedly full blooded Cherokee. Children were William Newton (1877-1955), John Thomas (1878-?), Walter C. (1889-1953) and Josie Azaline (1893-?). John evidently was a farmer in Dunwoody.>>> I am also seeking information on a Ware line in Georgia concerning a John Ware. I have two brothers, John W. Ware (b. 1828) and Thomas J. Ware (b. 1830). In 1850 they are living in Murray Co., GA in separate homes, working as school teachers. By 1860 they are neighbors, they are each married and they each have a son. Thomas J. married Emma C., and John W. married Mary E. They are both working as carpenters and are living at Macon, Bibb County, GA. John W.'s son is named Thomas J. Ware, born 1858, and Thomas J.'s son is John T. Ware, born 1859. I realize this makes the age different from yours. The two brothers are believed to be the brothers of my husband's ancestor, Franklin W. Ware. It was believed that the two brothers may have been lost in the war, but since Franklin moved his family to Texas in 1872 it could be that they just lost contact. Anyway you might try searching for Wares in Bibb Co. and the northwestern counties since these two boys grew up in Murray and Whitfield Counties of Georgia. I too would be interested in any information about these brothers. Thanks, Diana
