John said he'd always heard that Frank was part Indian, but could not confirm it. Don't know when Frank died, but John (age 85) said it was before he was born. John will check with his brother George on this. George is a former Chief of the Osage Tribe, and John is a current tribal councilman. I will visit with John & George in Fairfax, OK on Memorial weekend this year. One more clue that John gave is that his uncle Joe Ware (brother to Rose and Verda Elizabeth) spent a great deal of time with the Cherokees down around Talequah, and seemed to think that a search of Cherokee ancestry for Frank might be in order.
