Hi, I am looking for any information on: WEAR, James, b. 7 Oct 1806 in Christian County, KY. Parents were John Wear, b. 1780 in Chester County, SC, and Mary "Polly" Burns, b. ca. 1786 in SC. James Wear (also spelled Weir) was alive on the 1810 Christian County, KY census, and he was still alive in 1816 (I have the John Wear Bible), but the family moved to Cooper County, MO in 1819. There was no census for MO in 1820, as it was not a state until 1821. By 1830, James is a missing child from the John Wear family. We have no idea what became of him.
