Jerry Wear wrote: Hi Nellie, Here are some items of interest for you: 1) Jacob is listed as Weir in 1820 census for St. Clair Twp, Butler, OH 2) Jacob is listed as Wier in 1830 census for St. Clair Twp, Butler, OH 3) A Jonas is listed as Wier in 1830 census for St. Clair Twp, Butler, OH 4) In the 1850 Mortality Report taken with the 1850 census the following is reported as deaths between 1840 and 1850 in St. Clair Twp: Andrew Wehr, Catherine Wehr, Eli Wehr, Enos Wehr, Gabriel Wehr, Jacob Wehr, Jonas Wehr, Lovina Wehr and Nathan Wehr. 5) There is another Nathan Wear listed in the Mortality Schedule for Morgan Twp. but he is from another family. 6) Jacob was also married to a Mary C. Unknown after Lovina died. I know this isn't a lot of help but I suggest you research that cemetery carefully as you may find additional relatives there. Be very careful in your research as there are 2 other weird lines in the Townships around St. Clair. Also the Wear/Weare line of Prebble Co. were on the Butler Co. boarder and Lemon Twp. I would research that will of Jacob Wehr in 1848. I know Butler County very well geographically, so if I can ever assist just let me know. Take care.
