I could use some help finding the ancestors of WILLIAM CHANDLER WARE. b. 1824 in Augusta, Richmond County, GA, married Rebecca Calhoun Harris of Abbeville District SC November 11, 1850(Record of marriage in Richmond County, marriage bond filed in Edgefield, SC) He moved to Lee County, GA about 1850 and was killed near Sharpsburg, MD August 22, 1862. I suspect his father and mother are WILLIAM C. WARE & ANN MCMURPHY of Augusta. William C. was born in 1793, married July 10, 1817 in Augusta and d. January 4, 1826 in Augusta, GA I am aware that there are reported lines including at least one in WFT #17 which have WILLIAM C. WARE AND ANN moving to TX. I doubt that because I found the obit for William C. in the Augusta newspaper saying he died in Augusta. Also, a relative reports a letter from ANN in MS after she is reported to have moved to TX. The William that moved to TX may have been the son of Joseph Ware of Augusta. Joseph was Sheriff of Richmond County and a witness to Wade Hampton's signature on some of the Yazoo Land Documents.
