He was from Lincoln Co GA and moved to Twiggs Co GA and is buried along with his wife and daughter, son and grandson in the Old Richland Baptist Church cemetery in Twiggs Co GA. He had an Uncle James Ware in Lincoln Co GA and a cousin James Ware in that area or GA. To my knowledge, he never lived in Ware County. I am not sure which, if any, of the Wares went to Ware county. Some of this James' children's descendants went to Laurens and some are in Treutlen today. Some also went to Macon County GA. I used to get very confused with all these James Ware who lived during the same time period. My Ware family originally came from VA. Hi, This is for waregene@att.net I think that this Malachi was a Jr but am not sure of it. There is one Malachi which was a bro to Dudley Ware which I am related to and he had a son name Rice. I'll have to go looking again for that paper that was giving to me and made up by Arthur Cannon. I don't think that he is alive now as he was old when he made up these but he didn't have Nathan as the father of Dudley I found that out when I was on web which I am not now.I have been wondering if you would know about names like Rice for a first name could it be possible that Rice is named after somebody that was a mother or a grandmother last name???? I can't do the research work any longer I don't have any transportation anymore. I will have to check and see which had who and let you know. If your e-mail address is the same as the one that is on your letter I can just write to you if I find out anything for you. I think that even Dudley Ware had a son named Malachi. Will close for now Gloria gholder4@juno.com On Sat, 02 Feb 2002 22:39:09 +0000 waregene@att.net writes: > Could the Maleki Ware on the 1790 census, Garrard Co. In reply to this query: >>>Searching for info on my GGrandfather John Ware (1851-1928) married to Eliza Ann Brown (1850-1929). Not sure where he was born (think in Ga) but lived in Dunwoody, Ga and died in Atlanta, Ga. Eliza was supposedly full blooded Cherokee. Children were William Newton (1877-1955), John Thomas (1878-?), Walter C. (1889-1953) and Josie Azaline (1893-?). John evidently was a farmer in Dunwoody.>>> I am also seeking information on a Ware line in Georgia concerning a John Ware. I have two brothers, John W. Ware (b. 1828) and Thomas J. Ware (b. 1830). In 1850 they are living in Murray Co., GA in separate homes, working as school teachers. By 1860 they are neighbors, they are each married and they each have a son. Thomas J. married Emma C., and John W. married Mary E. They are both working as carpenters and are living at Macon, Bibb County, GA. John W.'s son is named Thomas J. Ware, born 1858, and Thomas J.'s son is John T. Ware, born 1859. I realize this makes the age different from yours. The two brothers are believed to be the brothers of my husband's ancestor, Franklin W. Ware. It was believed that the two brothers may have been lost in the war, but since Franklin moved his family to Texas in 1872 it could be that they just lost contact. Anyway you might try searching for Wares in Bibb Co. and the northwestern counties since these two boys grew up in Murray and Whitfield Counties of Georgia. I too would be interested in any information about these brothers. Thanks, Diana
