The following was just recvd from the Rootsweb Lismaster: ===========<snip>========================================================= Beginning Monday, 10 June 2002, RootsWeb will begin the complex and time-consuming process of upgrading our servers to new hardware. o What does this mean for you? Well, it means some servers will be unavailable during this time unavailable and we are asking for your patience. For up-to-date information about the different resources, you can visit http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ as the move progresses. o List Administrators: When the time comes to move list servers, we will be halting operation on the machine to complete the move. We expect to have the machines down the least amount of time possible. No mail will be sent from or posted to your mailing lists. We do not expect to lose any messages. o Board Administrators: Nothing, unless your board happens to be gatewayed to a mailing list then the information for list administrators apply. o Web Pages: FTP will be down so that changes can't be made to pages until everything is working correctly on the new servers. There will be a short time that the pages will not be available as the transfer takes place. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we go through a few "growing pains." -- Vicki Lindsay Thauvin RootsWeb Staff vicki@rootsweb.com ===========<snip>========================================================= -- John E Cain; 4601 Concord Drive; Garland, TX 75042 http://www.rootsweb.com/~msamite/index.htm -----Amite County MS http://www.rootsweb.com/~jecain/index.htm ----Cain/Ware list and My Website.

What I have is; William Wares married to Mary Pratt Children include Samuel, William, Melissa, Mary, Richard Augustus and Robert(mine)b. 12 May 1834 VA. In 1838 they moved from what is now West Virginia to Missouri. I have had problems with the Virginia records as I have discovered the courthouse has burned twice, the county has changed names three times and of course the state has changed names. Robert married Elizabeth Doherty b. 28 Jan 1836 d. 29 Mar 1889 Kingman KS(her family was also from VA)They married 26 June 1854, I think in MO. Their children are Anna Eliza, Richard I (Uncle Richard died in OK, maybe in Moore,) Nancy Jane, Parthena F., Joseph B.; B. 1 Oct 1961 (Mine)to Mattie Willson 5 Mar 1885 in MO. Mary E, Fountian R. Virlinda E. Sary M. Sereney M. and Sofa Barbey. I have wondered if the name Fountain wasn't Fountaine at one time. I worked that angle when I ran into a woman who had a Virginia Fountaine ine. It did not connect but that's not to say it's not somewhere else. The E. middle name may be a clue also but I have not found out what they stand for. Joseph and Mattie are my ggrandparents through their son Delbert A. and his dau. Esther. I'm on my way to my moms for a month so will be out of touch for a while. Let me know if we connect. Janet
