    1. [WARE] Virus Msg from Listowner - Please Read
    2. John E. Cain
    3. The following was received from Rootsweb today. =====<Rootsweb Message>=================================================== KLEZ OFF! Viruses and worms are a constant and growing threat and they can destroy your valuable genealogical files. Assuming your computer is clean or that you will never get a virus is foolish. Viruses invade the computers of genealogists every day. The current and relentless attack of the Klez worm, which forges the "from address" continues to fool many RootsWeb users, but this worm is NOT coming from any of RootsWeb's mailing lists or from your editor. It is being sent to you privately by an infected computer (often without the owner's knowledge), using a stolen "From" e-mail address. Klez uses all sorts of subjects lines, many of them appearing to be genealogy-related, which Klez also filches. Before you accuse anyone of sending you the Klez worm, or bombard RootsWeb's Help Desk with accusations about this, learn how to read the full e-mail header codes. http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/listadmins/headersfull.html IS YOUR COMPUTER VIRUS-FREE? For a free online virus scan: http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ Anti-virus (AV) software is invaluable, provided you keep it updated and use it regularly. Obtain AV in stores and shops, or download it online. http://www.grisoft.com/ http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ http://www.mcafee.com/anti-virus/ http://www.europe.f-secure.com/v-descs/ http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ Also see "Internet Stuff You Need to Know" on Cyndi's List: http://www.cyndislist.com/internet.htm#Viruses =====<Rootsweb Message>=================================================== -- John E Cain; 4601 Concord Drive; Garland, TX 75042 http://www.rootsweb.com/~msamite/index.htm -----Amite County MS http://www.rootsweb.com/~jecain/index.htm ----Cain/Ware list and My Website.

    1. [WARE] Virus msg from listowner
    2. This is why anybody that doesn't run ALL THE TIME virus software and keep it UPDATED are just courting trouble. The programs are very inexpensive (less that $50.00 usually) and let me tell you if a virus gets into your hard drive it will cost you much more in time and the possibility of having to get the HD repaired. I believe the compiler is deceased. These records seem to have been collected by the late 1950's or early 1960's, although many were written well before that. There were charts from around 1900 and copies of very old bibles (not Ware). Pattie

    3. Some how I must have missed this Amanda Ware Query. I have information on her, but I do not know what you already have. Yes, her mother was Matilda Ware, daughter of Richard Ware and Mary Wilson of Randolph Co. WV. Do you have Amanda'a marriage, etc.? Do you have the ancestors of Mary Wilson? There is no proof that Amanda is the daughter of Moses Arbogast, tradition is that she is, along with the other children. William Madison is pretty much proven to be a son due to land transactions, etc. Jean

I was only trying to find this man and was directed to this website. You were very rude to me in your e mail when I was only trying to help my husband by asking of anyone knew of a Clopton Ware. Well it's all over now anyway, my husband can never see him again now.

I cannot figure out who Hannah Ware might descend from. Does anyone know who this Hannah M. Ware might be related to? Thanks, Linda benlinda@flash.net

    3. Dear Wendell, Thanks so much for your response. Do you have any further information about Peter Ware except that he married Mary Hickes? (Or is that information suspect, also?) I don't have any dates or locations until I get about 3 or 4 generations down. Thanks again for writing. Linda benlinda@flash.net

    3. This is for DencCo Hi, I am going to write another time when it isn't so warm. Actually it is the heat index and the humidity that is making it so warm. I do have a Dudley and a Rice Ware and one of them did have a John called Jackie but am not sure which one I think it was Rice Ware right off the top of my head. Dudley Ware is Rice's father. I come down on Rice's daughter Elizabeth who married to Levi Cooper a Civil War vet. am trying to keeplooking for Dudley's wife maiden name but I haven't found anyone that has it so far. I think it could be Rice because they named gr gr gr grandfather Rice and I have notice sometimes they have named their kid's with a last name of a relative. Her first name was Polly in all of the books and also all of the e-mails that I have got but a few people put that down as a nickname. I have done quite a bit of research on my father's side when I could go and do it. It seems that Mary is the real name but in this case I am not sure anyway that is what they called the Mary's in the Quakers group, they would have so many Mary's in the family that they couldn't keep them a part if you know what I mean. I'll write to you when it gets a little cooler. Thank you for waiting.
