In an attempting to conduct a link check with a group of contributors to the Amite County Page, I inadvertently sent the message to these lists and would like to apologize to all who received it. -- John E Cain; 4601 Concord Drive; Garland, TX 75042 http://www.rootsweb.com/~msamite/index.htm -----Amite County MS http://www.rootsweb.com/~jecain/index.htm ----Cain/Ware list and My Website.
Alright, anyone with Georgia and Mississioppi Ware connections try this site. This is just part of a very large Sorrells site. <A HREF="http://www.monmouth.com/~princef/tfcp-007.html#016">MILDRED SNEAD/RICHARD SORRELLS - Document #007</A> This is where I finally found my Wares. The surprise on my part was that my Aunt Rose and Uncle Clarence were contributors of some of the information. I just thank Thelma again for putting this on the internet THANKS THELMA

The Joe WARE I'm looking for was born about 1869 and had at least 3 brothers who's names were John, Jess and Alf (Alfred?) WARE. They were either from Ellijay, GA or surrounding area or they lived there at some point. Mike Troxell
In a message dated 98-02-28 19:17:43 EST, you write: << The names of towns you name are not familiar to me. I have Wares in Elbert, (1802) Madison (1823) and Floyd (1841) Counties in Georgia and Coosa County, (1852) Alabama. And I have similar stories of Indian connection. These may be way too early for your Wares but there were supposed to be three brothers who married three sisters in Georgia. Maybe they just took longer to migrate >> I saw the above posted to the list. My Ware's were from Floyd Co. GA. Elmina Ware married Berry Bagwell. Elmina was born in 1831. Her father was Ezekiel Ware.

I am researching Rhoda Ware, b. 27 Feb 1759 in Needham, MA, daughter of Ebenzer Ware (1726-1795) & Esther Huntting (1730-?). I believe she married George Clark 29 Jun 1775 in Hopkinton, MA, producing one child, Elizabeth Clark. Family tradition says George died and she then married Hamblet Barber c. 1778, producing at least 9 children: James, Hamblet, Hannah, Rhoda, Polly, Sally, Anna, Thomas, and John, and then according to Vital Records of Holliston, MA she died 25 dec 1824 in Bellingham, MA. Vital Records support that all of these children were sons/daughters of Hamblet & Rhoda Ware. Unfortunately, however, I have also found Town Records for Needham, MA that states Rhoda Ware, daughter of Ebenzer & Esther Ware, died 1 Mar 1777 -- which would mean she never could have married George or Hamblet. If anyone has any information on Rhoda Ware, dau of Ebenzer & Esther Ware, please send it to me directly at [email protected] I am descended from Hamblet & "Rhoda", and I'm trying to determine just who Rhoda was !! Thank you in advance!
Letha, Sorry to be so long getting back to you. I'm sorry, but all I really have is a Polly Ware married to Gideon Denny in 1798 in Gloucester County. Sometime ago I was checking out the Wares in NJ and ended up in southern NJ and one of the books I was reading mentioned that there was different famiily of Wares in Camden area. I suspect that these are my Wares. I have a few other names, but the're not connected yet. I was hoping you would be to add to them. Alabama Date: 98-02-18 09:07:57 EST From: [email protected] (T. F. Prince) To: [email protected] Hello, I'm glad you found my information helpful. Hamilton Ware married Nancy Sorrells who was the daughter of Charles Sorrells and Elizabeth Jones. I descend through Charles' brother, William Alexander Sorrells and his wife, Dorcas Sanders. Rosa sent me the information on Hamilton, part of it, and part of it I got from research. I descend from Nancy's first cousin, Wiley Sorrells. How are Rosa and Clarence? It was around 1985 I last heard from her. You asked if I was related to John, who? Are you talking about John Smallwood? He is a Ware-Sorrells descendant, and a distant cousin to me. It's nice to hear from you. Thelma Prince Well guys as I continue to unravel my new Sorrells and Ware relatives. I recieved these two messages. I AM SO EXCITED. Hello out there Have just found a nest of Wares residing on the internet. This is a connection to the southern Wares. three Ware brothers that married the three Sorrells sisters. (ARE YOU TIRED OF SEEING THAT QUERY ON THE INTERNET......I HAVE POSTED IT EVERYWHERE) They are in Georgia and Alabama in the first generation or two. There is a list of their children and some other good links. The link is http://www.monmouth.com/~princef This is part of a larger site on Sorrells. The Ware connections are on page 16 and there are 33 Ware children listed. If you can connect to this family you can also go back several generations on the Sorrells information at this site. When you arrive there you will see another familiar name Thelma Faye CAIN Prince. Are you related to John? and for that matter are you related to Hamilton Ware. Thank you Thelma Faye. I spent last night staying up much too late poring over your information. One of the sources ...........Clarence and Rosa Wilson are my aunt and uncle. Clarence was my mother's brother. I found this site through another cousin Wanda Thompson. Thank you Wanda. She is a Locke connection. Happy hunting. Linda

Hi, my name is Paul Carpinone and I am new to genealogy as a result of buying Family Tree Maker in January. I am working on my wife's ancestry, and recently learned that she is a descendant of the Wear family. According to the information I have so far, my wife's mother was a Wear descendant from the New York and/or Florida area. Also, her grand uncle's name was William Wright, and her grand aunt's name was Agnes Wright (maiden name). I do not have her grandmothers name, nor do I know if there were any other siblings. Agnes was born in 1902 and died in 1992. If you know where I may find additional information on this segment of the Wear family, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks again, Paul Carpinone
