"Wear" name is mentioned in our lineage...during ancient times in England. My Ware lineage begins as an ancient English family that lived on the River Wear, England. Family in America descends from Sir Christopher Ware of Yorkshire. From info I have, the Wares came to Va colony and stayed in Virginia--Yorktown, Henrico Co., Amherst and Roanoke area. BUT I understand the relative that compiled the info I have, received lots of info from a lady in Kentucky..perhaps in the early 1980's or late 1970's.
