There has been some turbulence on the maillists and GenWeb sites over the last couple of weeks. Below is the good news in a message from Dr Brian Leverich of Rootsweb: ========<snip>============================= Last Sunday I wrote: > Today I've done the OS upgrade on the new server, and everything > seems to be working great. Barring crashes of the old server, we > will do a planned upgrade to the new server tomorrow (Monday) > morning. As planned, Monday we brought the new server online and we resumed full normal operations about 5pm. Since that time we have had no problems with the new server. None. On Tuesday we set a new record for that server, with peak output filling more than 1.33 T1s and with that single server handling more than a million Web hits. The new server handled that record traffic at load factors of 1/10th to 1/20th those that the old server was experiencing doing less work. We won't know about long-term stability for a few more weeks, but the initial indications are that we've hit a home run. Thanks for your patience during two weeks of less than perfect operation while we implemented the upgrade. Hello, Idon't know about Sandy, but I haave Ware's in Indianapolis. John Ware b Ireland Anne (decker) b Germany four sons b Indianapolis [email protected]
Sandy do you have any Weir's in Indiana?
This Nicholas was known as the "EDGEFIELD NICHOLAS" because he settled in the Edgefield County of the South Carolina Colony and was one of the six cousins or brothers who brought this line to South Carolina and Georgia Colonies F-1. Nicholas Ware (IV) (Son of No E-1 Nicholas (III) & wife Mary Thompson) lived in Caroline Co., Va., He engaged in a blacksmithing business in that county with a kinsman: Henry Ware, who was a son of Valentine Ware, Jr., a descendent of Peter Ware, Jr (No. C-1) whose line preceded that of the first Nicholas (No. C-2) in this record . This Nicholas (IV) married Dolly Garrett of Caroline Co., Va. and this Henry Ware married Martha Garrett, a sister of Dolly's. Eventually both Nicholas (IV) and his associate (and brother-in-law) This Nicholas (IV) was known as "Edgefie1d Nicholas" Edgefield, SC is where my WARE'S are from. Can you tell me who Nicholas's children were and who those six cousins or brothers were that you mentioned above? Susan Clay
Hi Aall, I am searching for the following Wares John Ware listed in 1900 indianapolis, In. John ware b1847 (53) Ireland Anne Decker Ware b 1853 (47) Germany John son b July 1877 (22) In Albert son b July 1879 (20) In Frank son b July 1887 (12) In Benjamin son b Feb 1890 (10)In John married Lula Blake Oct 1902 Indianapolis Any help would be great Mary [email protected]
Is there anyone who knows which Ware/Wear/Weir is the ancestor of Dale Evans (Mrs. Roy Rogers)? Her birth certificate says she was born Lucille Wood Smith on 30 Oct 1912 in Uvalde, TX, but a sworn affidavit from her parents says she was born Frances Octavia Smith on 31 Oct 1912. Whichever, she went by the name Frances until she changed it to Dale Evans around 1931. She has said several times that she was a "Ware" and I know from my family's history that there were several Weir in Uvalde. Any help would be appreciated. Sandy [email protected]
I am looking for a Nicholas Ware that married Anne Macmurphy. Anne was from Augusta, GA and the daughter of Daniel Macmurphy and Susannah Crossley Macmurphy of Ireland and then Augusta, GA. Anne was probably born around 1795. This is all the info that I have - do any of you have Anne Macmurphy in your line? Thanks - Anne Johnston [email protected]
