Were they mormon's (Married in Salt Lake)? If so, you might want to check out an LDS family history center. They might have some info. on them. Does this fit in with what any one is researching???? The names aren't familiar to me. Sincerely, Dawn http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/2013/ Dawn's Genealogical Homepage

    2. Tamara McNeill [email protected] MATTHEW WARE I am looking for African American WARES in Caroline County, Virginia, before 1860. I have managed to trace the male line back to MATTHEW WARE, who was listed in the 1870 census as being about 70 years old. I was unable to find Matthew Ware in either the 1860 free or slave schedule (which did not include the names of slaves). Matthew was married (?) to Action (or Axion) and they had 5 children: Nelson, Charles, Willis, Laura, and Letty. Does anyone have any information on any of these people, or on how to go about locating them outside of census records?

He may have been mentioned as a younger man in a transfer of property. I'm anglo and a little uncomfortable suggesting this.....is it kosher to make these suggestions, in these terms? I know there is an African American FH site that is looking for all such probate, etc that contain slave info so they can catalog it and make it available to researchers such as yourself. 3. FYI. Re: the sample message below. I receive several of these in a weeks time. Most are stopped before they can be sent to the list. Occasionally, one will get through. The Rootsweb "spam filter" hackers are getting better all the time and stop the great majority of spam before it clutters up the hundreds of mail lists. The only way to completely eliminate it is to close the list so that only subscribers can post messages which I don't care to let some spam jerks force me to do. Thanks for your time. 3. Sue, I have Wares back to 1600. They immigrated to Massachusetts from Suffolk, Dedham, England in 1642. I know one of my sources was "Ware Geneology; Robert Ware, of Dedham, MA 1642-1699 and His Lineal Descentants" Compiled by Ms Emma Forbes Ware, of Milton, MA 1838., "Ware Geneology; Robert Ware, of Dedham, MA 1642-1699 and His Lineal Descentants," which I found on the net. I also got information from Jerry Thayer <[email protected]>. Unfortunately, I found all this when I was begining my search and didn't realize the importance of recording sources. There was a WebPage called The Wolf's Den which had lots of stuff.. If I have anything that would be helpful to you, I will be glad to share. Margaret Ware Larimer

    3. Hi: I wonder if anyone on the list can help me solve the following problem. For about 2 years now I have been trying to find the parents of Joseph and Phineas Wyers (sometimes spelled Wires) with no luck. I was recently sent a file on the descendants of Peter Weare and the family of one of his descendants looks like a fit but I can't prove it yet. Here is what I have:- Joseph and Phineas Wyers(Wires) were both born in the period 1800 to 1810. Phineas died at 71 in Restigouche Co., N.B. and never married. Joseph (my line) married Frances Phillips in Lincoln, N.B., near Fredericton in 1828 and had a family of 13, 12 of whom I have identified. One his daughters was born in Nova Scoita - Antonette - in about 1855, she latter married two brothers by the name of Richardson in Woodstock N.B. area. This is the family I think Joseph and Phineas may belong to even though the name is spelled Wear. :- 5-1211-3 JAMES WEAR B-12-11-1766 D-00-00-0000 "CHILD OF RUTH (BANKS) AND ELIAS WEARE." HE was born in, Granville, Annapolis Co., N.S., Canada. He married Rachel Graves in 1790. 6-12113-1 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 CHARLES WEIR. 6-12113-2 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 PHINEAS WEAR 6-12113-3 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 CHIPMAN WEAR 6-12113-4 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 DAVID WEAR 6-12113-5 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 MARY WEAR 6-12113-6 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 JOSEPH WEAR 6-12113-7 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 EZRA WEAR 6-12113-8 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 SUSAN WEAR 6-12113-9 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 SETH WEAR 6-12113-10 B-00-00-0000 D-00-00-0000 REBECCA WEAR The other thing that makes me think this may be my Joseph and Phineas is the names of these children most of which appear in MY Joseph's family line. Also it looks like the birthdates might be in the ball park. Maybe someone would know the birthdates for these children, even that would be a help.
