I am trying to find information regarding WARE(s) in West Virginia. The information I have is sketchy at best and does not go back very far. My Grandfather was Raymond WARE born 22 October 1916 and died 26 October 1993 He was married to Ruby GALFORD (born 1917, died Oct. 1968: Mother was Ocy GALFORD Aug 1893-Nov 1977; Father was Marion GALFORD Sept 1889 - Jan 1970). It has been established that Raymond lived most if not all of his life in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Word of mouth has it that his father's name was James or John or some derivitive thereof (like I said sketchy at best) and that he died at an early age of a gun shot wound received under suspicious circumstances. Current living relatives have been little assistance, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hi, I am trying to find information on Martha Ware born 1850 and died 1916. She married Laphup Allen Webb born 8-24-1845 and died 11-2-1909 and is buried in the Redwood Church Cemetery in East Feliciana Parish, La. They had a daughter named Sarah Adeline Webb bonr 9-17-1868 in St. Helena Parish and died 1-10-1897 and don't know where buried. I have been looking for about 10 yrs. for where she was buried. Sarah married John David Walton Facundus born 4-4-1866 in Gillisburg, Ms. and died 9-29-1946 and is buried in Live Oak Methodest Church Cemetery in Watson, La. Thanks in advance for any help. Dianne

Heidi, my records indicate that William Ware, Jr. s/o Col. Wm. Ware married Rosamond Rucker. She was dau of Reuben and Margaret McDaniel Rucker and G/dau of Ambrose Ruck and Mary Tinsley Rucker. William and Rosamond had a son, Wilkerson Ware who married Martha Watts. Wilkerson/Martha had son, Paulus McDaniel Ware (1839-1928) and so on. William Ware, Jr.'s father Col. Wm, married Patta (e) Davis. Col. Ware's father was Valentine Ware, Jr. Hope this information checks out with your records.

I am looking for information on William Ware who was married to Rosamund Rucker on 19 Nov 1803(?) in Amherst Co., VA . This information ws attached to another marriage bond and it is difficult to read. William was the s/o of John Ware of Amherst Co., VA. William and Rosamund had at least one daughter, Margaret M. Their were Wear / Weir families in the surrounding counties, however. I need to know the source of your information on the surname Ware to be able to assist you.
