I am looking for information about Samuel Augustus Ward (b 28 Dec 1847 at Newark, NJ; d 28 Sep 1903 at Newark). He is known for composing the music ("Materna") that was later used for "America the Beautiful". I know he had a music store at Newark and was also the organizt at Grace Episcopal Church there. Does anyone know his line?
