There is a family of Wards in Bell co. KY that settled on the left fork of St. Creek at Arjay on Simms Fork. This area was called Ward Holler. Wm. Ward and Massey Green migrated from S.C. into KY. Their son, Richard C. Ward married Mary Ann Murphy. Their son, John Murphy Ward married 1- Nancy Warren & 2- Chloah Hall in the 1850's.
