In addition to some of the physical traits common to some Wards, another common thread appears...elusiveness. Did they have some genetically derived ability to disappear without a trace and to appear out of nowhere? Or were they "rugged individualist" who didn't feel the need to always participate in censuses or to report events in their lives? I've never seen another surname discussion with so many ancestors listed among the "mysteriously missing". As always...whatever happened to Joseph Pollock Ward? ~Suz
