My Ward interest begins with the birth of Thomas in 1740 in Greetham, Rutland. He married Alice Dexter 1767 in Clipsham. Their son William Dexter Ward was born 1770 at Greetham and he married Mary Taylor at Little Bytham in Lincs in 1794. Their son Robert Dexter Ward was born 1796 at Stretton, Rutland and he married (for the 2nd time) to Frances Boyer in Bourne, Lincs in 1842. Their daughter Maria Ellen married in Chesterfield in 1875 and is my great-grandmother paternal. I was born in Chesterfield.
