Some Wards came out of England according to some of the ship logs I have read. Some came from Scotland, my uncle got an invitation to go to Scotland to a Ward reunion of sorts, but that was 10 years ago or more. I really don't know that the lines had been run or if it was just "Y'all come if your name is Ward". I know we came from the "Someplace" or we wouldn't be hear. But you are absolutely right that the Wards seem to be a very private clan. The line I am from is also quite "bull-headed" so I will persist to persevere and one day we will get this "planet of the Wards" discovered!
