For the few clues that I do have on the Wards, I am certainly grateful. I at least know they were in Canada before they were in Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska, and that their parents were probably from New York before that. I keep telling myself it could be worse. A lot worse. They could be like my 4th great grandfather who truly does appear to have been planted by aliens in the middle of a county full of people with the same surname but seemingly completely unrelated. It's a conspiracy to keep me from identifying his true parentage, I tell you. :) Irene
