Andrew Warde and his descendants, 1597-1910 : being a compilation of facts relating to one of the oldest New England families and embracing many families of other names, descended from a worthy ancestor even unto the tenth and eleventh generations. N.Y., DeLaMare Printing Co., 1911. Thick 8vo. Pp. 604. Fifty-five pages of full-page plates, including coat of arms, portraits, &c. Full dark green cloth, spine printed in gilt. Only the most superficial wear to extremities, otherwise a very nice copy of the revised, best edition of 1911. The copy of Eber Ward Cottrell (b.1841) - and signed by him on front free endpaper. Cottrell was a Detroit business executive and land commissioner; member State Legislature, 2 terms, 1879 and 1881, during which time he introduced the bill providing for Grand Boulevard that encircles Detroit and secured its passage; appointed by President Grant receiver of public moneys at Detroit Exposition, 1888; appointed land commissioner for the Detroit, Mackinaw & Marquette R. R. Co., 1889. $200.00 This is an exceedingly scarce book in its original printing (the first I've seen in over ten years), & I must offer it subject to previous sale. Delivery is complimentary.
