My grandmother has an old postcard that was sent to my gr grandfather inviting him to the "14th Annual Reunion of descendants of the Revolutionary John Ward and Hannah Peddy". This was held 14 September 1941 in Newton, Jasper County, Illinois. I have been unsuccessful in finding any of my Wards past Stephen Ward in Jasper County, Illinois (the recipient of this card). There were other Wards in the county so this may be a case of inviting him to a reunion that he was not a descendant of but on the other hand...
