    1. Identifying WARD-L emails
    2. I don't know how to get in direct touch with the administrator of the WARD-L rootsweb. service, so I'll do it this way...open letter to all. I wish the program could be tweaked to identify the incoming emails from WARD-L subscribers to indicate that the incoming does regard the WARD-L list. I know it can be done because another list-serve I'm on does it. KORNEGAY-L is always so identified in the index of new mail. I'm afraid I may delete some WARD-L emailings unintentionally because I get so much junk mail, spams, etc. that I frequently delete without opening if I don't recognize either the sender or the subject matter as something I want to read. When WARD-L posts appear with only their email address and a subject that is not recognizable as a WARD genealogy subject, I probably delete it without opening. An example would be: [email protected] Rosebud. How was I to know this contained a list of immigrants arriving on the Sailing Ship "Rosebud". I might have thought it was some joke about Citizen Kane. I know we could simply ask each poster to write "WARD-L" in the subject line along with the topic, i.e. "WARD-L Rosebud", but I know we will forget and new subscribers will have to be constantly retold. I think there is an automatic way to get this in the subject post. Can it be done? Matt Ward
