I've never sent to the Jamestown Society for Seth's papers. I should do so. I have found evidence that needs further backup that proves that Richard Ward (1692-1762) of Lunenburg County, VA was the father of Benjamin Ward, born 1717, who was the father of Benjamin Ward (c1750-1820) of Ashe County, NC and his siblings Daniel Ward of Franklin Co., VA; Dr. Wm. Ward of Rutherford Co., TN; Joshua Ward; Michael Ward; James Ward; and Mary Obedience Ward Kennedy of TN & KY. I am a descendant through Benjamin of Ashe County through his son Daniel Ward who removed later in life to Lee Co., VA. I have never seen in any of the documents that Seth had a son named John.
