Sid, The Wards I am trying to research are burried in Hill Co, Tx. It is the neighboring county to Ellis. My g-great granparents John Ward and Virginia "Jenny" Butcher Ward are buried in unmarked graves in Smith Bend, Coon Creek Cemetery in Hill County. I have no information for John Ward. No dates, no ancesters. I do know they had two children....Ira Ward and Adelia Ward. My grandmother has very little information as to what happened to Adelia Ward. Virginia Butcher Ward was born 1865 and died about 1902. That is the only dates I have and those were given to me by my grandmother. I hope there is a connection between your Ward's and mine. I am aggravated by the road block in my Ward search. Is hill Co anywhere near Fort Worth? I had some West TN relatives who went to Texas while some remained here. I do not know from what you report here whether we are related or not. Hill County is near Waco, Texas. My grandmother said her aunt Della Ward is supposed to have moved to Ft. Worth after she married. I don't know anything about any relatives of John Ward.
