Dear Linda, Thanks for offering -if anyone on the list wishes you to look for their Wards --- on your microfilm about the Ward family. Could you please look on your microfilm for my William WARD? My William WARD was born in England [date unknown] , married a woman born in Ohio [her name unknown] and had a son named Mahlon James WARD born 6 Nov 1837 /38 in Ohio <Findlay, Hancock co likely> or he was born in PA [conflicting info found]. I don't know where William WARD lived; I don't know if he had other children; nor have I been able to identify him on a census. Mahlon's children were named Zophar John, George, Anthony, Orion Orlando, Daniel, Emily Anne and Chauncey. George, Anthony, I too am most interested in the history of the Ward family and in knowing what's on your roll of microfilm on the Ward family --especially what it says about them coming to America -the names and the ancestry which it traces. The problem is -it seems to me there must have been hundreds of thousands of WARDS in Europe, -of which some emigrated to America. If you transcribe the microfilm for the list - I don't know how much of it I'll be able to read --because -- The surname lists send me such a volume of mail that often I can't read all of it. Then too I am receiving too much "spam" from advertisers who somehow found my email address.
